Saturday: Quote Day #4

"To me faith means not worrying."
  ~John Dewey

Yesterday we faced the strongest typhoon for 2013. Faith was one of the reasons we were able to stay strong. I was also scared but to be truly honest, I wasn't really that scared. I knew that My family and I were going to be safe because 1. We lived in a safe neighborhood and 2. We believed that God will there for us. Like I've said before, my family and I have encountered problems that really tested our Faith and since we also passed those challenges we were sure we were going to pass this one.

I really pity those who were greatly affected by the typhoon. I'm also worried about my relatives in Dumalag, Capiz. As of now, my mom still has no contact with any of my relatives in Capiz and we're starting to get worried but as long as we have Faith, everything will be okay.

Saturday: Quote Day #3

"You can only trust yourself... and barely that."
~Paige Wilson

Trust is a really big word. If you ask me one thing that really matters to me, aside from friends, family and God, I would answer trust. Nowadays, it's hard to trust people, even the quotes says that we can barely trust ourselves. I always make sure that the people I tell my secrets to are those people that I know I can trust. I find it hard to trust people because I really hate that feeling when all of a sudden a lot of people know your secrets even though you only told 1 person about it. I, honestly treasure the trust people give me. I really appreciate it when people tell me their deepest, darkest secrets because I know that they trust me and knowing that they trust me makes me happy. In return, I do my best to keep their trust. So to summarize all that, TRUST is very important so try your best to be as trustworthy as you can be.

First and Last

Last October 18 the Red Cross, Friends of Mother Earth (FOME) and the World Youth Alliance Club (WYA) had a camping as their culminating activity. It was my first and last camping at school and it was really fun!

We played the Amazing Race which was planned by the fourth year, there was a campfire and we also sang campfire songs taught by Mrs. Gabanes and Ms. Adrias. After all those activities we went to Year III - St. Peter's Classoom to watch a movie. We watched 'The Odd Life of Timothy Green' which is a great movie. The Movie ended probably around 1 am. Since we were all so hyper, we didn't really sleep immediately. Some of us played outside while some of us stayed in our tents chit chatting with our friends. It was a really fun experience and I really hope that before this school year ends, we'd get to have a camping again.

Here are some pictures during our camping... Photo credits: Paulene Cuello.

Day 1 of Sembreak

Sembreak officially started yesterday, October 24, 2013. I didn't have any plans this sembreak but my friends and I decided to get our nails done on the first day and so we did. I've always loved nail arts but my nails aren't really that long and great for nail arts but anyways I still had my nails done and my toenails. Andrea Lacson and Camella Raylos also had their nails done although Camella only had her toenails done not her fingernails.

Here are pictures of our Nails:

After getting our nails done we ate our lunch at Pizza Hut. After eating, we helped Andrea find clothes and it took us the whole afternoon to find clothes because well... Lacson is so maarte. Ahihi. So basically, that's what happened on my first day of Sembreak.

Saturday: Quote Day #2

"The antidote for fifty enemies is one friend." ~Aristotle

In my opinion, we don't need a lot of friends. What's important is that we have at least one true friend that would always be there for us no matter what.

Saturday: Quote Day #1

So I've decided that every Saturday I would blog about a certain quote and how it struck me.

The Quote for today is:

"When you look at your life, the greatest happiness are Family Happiness"
~ Joyce Brothers

I agree with the quote. The happiness we feel when we buy something or when we achieve something is very different from the happiness we feel when we're having fun with our family. My family is very important to me. I know that whatever happens, they will always be there for me. My family is one of those families who laughs a lot. Every dinner, We would always talk about our day and laugh at some of our experiences. I would also consider my family as STRONG. Through the years, we have encountered a lot of problems. But we're still together and happy. My family is very faithful. We would always go to Church together except for the times when we have to do something important, maybe that's why whatever challenges we've encountered, we always passed it. Because we know that God is there for us.

Scrap-booking Collection

I have always loved doing DIY (Do It Your Own) projects even though I'm not that good. And I've always loved collecting scrap-booking materials. I feel like I spend my money/savings wisely if I buy scrap-booking materials even though its the other way around, well not really. It depends on the person's point of view. Here are some pictures of my collections... I was lazy to take a picture of all of them :)

and here is a picture of one of my DIY proojects:

Brother's 11th

Last July 18, my brother turned 11 and since it was a school day we weren't able to celebrate so I suggested that we'd celebrate it on Saturday and my mom agreed. We decided to have a Day out with the rest of our cousins. We went to the Playhub in Esplanade but sadly, the weather didn't cooperate with us and so we weren't able to play but nonetheless it was a fun adventure and we still got to bond as a family.

FRIENDS FOREVER

Meet Andrea Mei better know as 'Lacson'. The Loudest, the most Frank but is also one of the most trustworthy person I have ever met. She's always there for me ready to listen and to give advice even though we disagree in ALMOST everything. I would say that Lacson and I are very different in a lot of ways. Our personalities clash with each other and I guess that is one of the reasons we have a strong bond. We're also similar in a lot of ways especially when it comes to movies and fashion. If I were to describe Andrea in 1 word, it would be generous. She's very generous in a lot of ways. Whenever we go out and I don't have enough money with me, she would always lend me money to buy something or food just so I wouldn't be 'OP' or Out of Place. She's also very generous in her time. Whenever you need her, she's right there and that's what I love about Andrea the most. Whenever you need her, she's always there, ready to lend a hand.

This is Karah... The most jolly, the playful one in our group, has a very high voice, and is also one of the Best friends ever! Karah is one of those person you can count on. She will NEVER leave you. that is what I love most about Karah, you can count on her and she would never let you down. Karah and I are more similar. We like the same kinds of songs, like the same person (haha), and we agree on almost everything. Karah and I rarely disagree with each other so when we do it's serious. But like I said, it rarely happens.

And last but not the least... Camella. Camella is like a sister to me. She knows everything abut me. She's my other half. She never judged me whenever I share my problems instead, she listens. Camella has always been the quiet one in our group. She's like a 'Maria Clara'. She's very keen and proper when she's in public which is weird since Lacson, Karah and I are very crazy and care-free whenever we're together most especially when we're in public. She's like my diary. I tell her everything. How I feel, When i dislike someone, everything. We even have the same crush! haha!

All Because of Youtube

2 years ago, I came across a cover of One Direction's very famous song What Makes You Beautiful on YouTube. The cover or the thumbnail for the video is a picture of 6 girls. I was intrigued to watch and hear their voices so I clicked the video and watched. Their cover was amazing!

Cimorelli is the name of their band and is also their family name. Yes they are all sisters and they also have 5 brothers. we can sum it all up to 11 siblings and they are all blood-related. Not half nor step. This is also one of the reasons I love about them. They're so many!

The band Cimorelli is made up of 6 sisters:

Christina - 22,
Katherine - 21,
Lisa - 19,
Amy - 18,
Lauren - 14,
Dani - 13

These girls have changed my life. They taught me to be more confident in my self. To be more friendly and open to others. They are Christians and they all make God their number 1 priority. They're great role models for the young ones most especially to girls.

Since 2009, these girls have become very famous! They now have over 480 Million views on youtube! They have a new EP coming out on June 18 and an album coming out soon!

Another thing I love most about them is that they're very humble and simple. Even though they're very famous now, they never forget their fans and of course, God. Whenever some great things happen like for example they just finished shooting for their new single Made in America they would always find time to thank God and their fans through tweets. Not just that, they have contests and if you win, you would have a chance to skype with them. Before, When they weren't very busy, they would have a fan of the week and skype with the fan of the week. It's amazing how they're very grateful and love talking to their fans.

Getting a follow from all of them on twitter was probably one of the Happiest Days of my life. I got noticed by my Idols. who wouldn't be happy? Okay so here are some Cimorelli pictures... and if you want to check them out, just search 'Cimorelli' on youtube.
